We hosted our Second Spring Carnival Friday, May 15th and what a beautiful day! The sun was shining and over 150 community members were able to attend. Proceeds from this carnival go to scholarships for families in need to help children attend early childhood education. We are thrilled to announce we raised over $700 for our scholarship fund! We want to thank our sponsors whose generosity built the foundation for our fabulous carnival. Finally, a special heartfelt thank you to our carnival planning committee: Myrvie Fuentes, Jenny Bendig, Melinda Bullaro and Leah Valleroy for organizing this fun family event. As you can see from the photos, our kids really enjoyed themselves! We hope you can all join us next year!
The 3-5’s Broadview Co-Op Preschool class had a wonderful year! We thoroughly enjoyed our Teacher Ricci, our Parent Educator Jean, and our wonderful community of families. Life long memories and friendships were built, and here are a few photos to share.
The class explored Carkeek Park, the beach waterfront near low tide. It was a pretty awesome hands on adventure, giving children the chance to learn through all their senses. We are so lucky to be able to take advantage of nearby wild life. The rocks provided new and exciting experiences for both kids and adults alike.
The very last day, a few of our students collaborated to build a very detailed Zoo. They worked together and really enjoyed the experience of creation and working as a team. They included a pond for the hippos, a desert for the camels, and a nap area for the giraffes too, incase they were sleepy. It was truly inspiring to watch them group animal families together, and provide for the animals specific needs. It was a wonderful way to end our truly awesome year at Broadview Co-Op!
You can always see more on our facebook page. If you have any interest in joining our co-op for next year, we have many openings in the Toddler and Pre-3s programs! Don’t hesitate to contact our parent coordinators Liz (Toddlers 1-2 years) email@example.com or Eileen (Pre3s 2-3 years) firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check out the wonderful year we had in our Pre 3 Class with Teacher Charlotte! There is still space in this class for children aged 2 by August 31st, so if you are looking for an awesome co-op contact our Pre 3 parent coordinator Eileen Feldman email@example.com!
Here is a super fun video made by parent Zarah, enjoy!
We hope you can join us for today’s Open House! We are at the school from 10am-12pm, where you can speak with our teachers Ricci and Charlotte and current families to learn more.
One of the great things about joining a co-op preschool is the parent education. As you participate in class, you will also meet with a trained parent educator once a month. The parent education is fantastic, and covers topics appropriate for not just the current events within the children’s class, but also skills your children (and you as a parent!) can use and learn to improve family function. Each class has it’s own parent educator who will attend preschool to get to know the students (your children) and be available for questions you may have both about school or about parenting in general. Parents find them a great resource for everything from cooperation, potty training, sleep issues and more. A fantastic reason to love co-op!

Saturday, January 31st, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Teachers Charlotte Wallstrom and Ricci Kilmer will be on hand to lead activities, answer questions, and tour families around our classroom. It’s also a great chance to meet current co-op families and learn about their experiences, too.
A Cooperative Preschool, or Co-op, provides quality, early childhood education and parent support for families with children from infancy to Pre-Kindergarten.
Co-ops offer a community of support and education for children and their families. They differ from traditional preschools in that they’re lead by an experienced preschool teacher in conjunction with parents, and in partnership with certified Parent Educators from North Seattle College.
Broadview Co-op Preschool offers engaging early learning opportunities, accredited parent education, and family support for families in Broadview and beyond.

The start of the school year quickly fades from summer to fall, and at Broadview we are enjoying the change in season. We don’t let a little rain get in our way of playing outdoors.
Stories and classroom play focus on the natural world around us, and involve children in learning through story and song.
Teachers Charlotte and Teacher Ricci do their best in all three classes to let discovery and learning happen organically. Below in the 3-5’s group students are learning from flowers picked and brought indoors from Teacher Ricci’s own yard.
We will be celebrating our wonderful preschool at the Fall Harvest Social. All families of students are invited to attend. Come celebrate the season at Broadview Co-Op Preschool.
Come join Broadview Cooperative Preschool! Spots are available now for our Toddler, Pre-3, and 3-5s Classes! Good News — the Pre-3 class is returning to Broadview Co-op Preschool!
If you have a child between the ages of 2 (as of August 31st, 2013) and 3 (as of August 31st, 2014), this is the program for you! The Pre-3 program offers a rich, fun-filled environment for your child, and an opportunity to build community and take part in valuable parent education for you. We meet twice a week on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 until 11:30.
Parents work in the classroom one day a week and we offer a wide range of developmental activities and nurture the slow separation that helps children feel secure on the day their parent is not in the classroom.
Classes begin January 10, 2014. Cost is $93.25 a month. (Parent education cost TBA.)
Please plan on joining us on November 12, 2013 between 9:30 and 11:30 am for an Open House play date! Please RSVP for this event at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 206-782-0616, or contact us if you are interested in joining us in January!
